A MERRY XMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT,TAKE CARE OUT THERE.

The legend John the Basher died today,a gentleman ex soldier,ex boxer as well as a lot more things,he was still driving a taxi a week ago,worked his arse off all his life,was most famous as basher form the seaforth stand lol,i got told when i started for metro that he sais “i’m retireing when i’m 60″ and that must have been about 15 years ago,one of the best recent stories was an old lady flagged him by the pacific bus stop,as he pulled over 2 thugs walked out the bookies pushed the woman out the way and said”thats our cab love”Basher being a gent got out his cab and said to the louts”i pulled over for this lady,its her cab” one of the louts said”yer knobhead” and threw a puch at Bash,seeing it coming a mile away basher swerved the punch,bang bang the lad was on the floor,the other lad tried his hand….bang bang he was on the floor as well.so basher helped the lady into her cab and took her home.

He did still have it,i remember winding him up saying “hey Basher i heard that when you were boxing you had your advertising on the soles of your feet,you had tetley tea bags on your left and corn flakes on your right”…………….i knew how to play him….and he loved it….”did i” he kept saying as he thew punches that just missed me,”did i” his punches were getting faster and missing me by fracions,i ended up backing into a corner while he was still going at it……i had to say “Basher if one of them hits me” luckily non of them hit me but he was a star guy.

Although i love remakes of old songs i didnt like this Leona may be a very talented young girl i dont think this song was for her,maybe ppl who havent heard snow patrols original may think it’s good?

He preached of revolution anarchy and change then does a stupid add…..must have mellowed in his old age?

I really dont like these type of shows but i thought this young girl had a brilliant voice.

Some times on the cabs,i’d have such a good time having a laugh with the lads, i’d get home,go to bed and start thinking about the funny things we’d been up to and i’d be lying their trying to snaffle my laughing trying not to wake the mrs up,which never worked she’d wake up and say”your off your head” snigger and fall asleep again,Bubbles(Andrew) at work,called me an “ugly fu**ing c**t” so i said “aye aye their lad,i’ve got a heart you know”……….and i saw the look on his face, looking confused,he said “no you fucking havent”……….the smile on my face said it all when he realised i wasent bothered,i wind him up and so does he me…but thats life …..and we wake up every day sometimes in a good mood and sometimes not so good ,but we make the best of what we’ve got….have fun ou their it’s a short life as they say….lol

Um Naief,from Hypnotic Verses,asked me if i noticed the difference between U.S.A. humer and English,to which i do, why i’ve posted the Papa Lazarou vid,ppl from the U.S.A.probably dont get this.(not sure if i do lol)

Sooooooooooooooooo any idea’s..what do you think?………………do we have a different sence of humer…….if so why?
